Pen Pal Communications

Daniel

I met my pen pal from Cameroon on Students of the World.  His name is Daniel and he is a year older than me. He allowed me to post a photo of him above.  Daniel is in the process of getting an education at the university level in Environmental Sciences.  He loves many aspects of his country, aesthetically and socially, and has inspired me to visit Cameroon some time in the future.  Daniel is a very considerate individual and I have learned that many of our curiosities are similar.  He does not hesitate to answer any questions that I have about Cameroon and frequently asks me about my hobbies.  I have learned that he enjoys writing about contemporary events and spending time with his family.  When I asked Daniel about his favorite food (which I later discovered to be Ndole), he tried to deter me from making it myself because he was unsure if the ingredients necessary were available to me.  A quick search on the Internet sparked my taste buds and I became excited about fixing the dish.  Daniel even conceded to assist me in preparing the meal to share among my peers.  Brief conversations like these allow me to witness the pride that Daniel has in his country and himself.    After three weeks of communication with Daniel, I am surprised at how much more I have learned about Cameroon and hope to learn more in the future!

Daniel is open to answer any questions that you may have about Cameroon.

His email is Bdanieltabouli@gmail.com

This is what Ndole looks like.  I can’t wait to try it!
